With ikkyo ura, you have a gyaku hanmi stance relative to uke and turn on your front foot.

Ai Hanmi - Natural stance, i.e. uke and nage both have left foot forward.
Gyaku hanmi - Reverse stance, i.e. uke has left foot forward and nage right foot

Kashima-no-Tachi / Kashima Shinryu Techniques

There are a number of "sets" of techniques depending on the weapons being used (for example sword against sword, spear against spear, sword against spear, etc.).

The five sword against sword sets are listed below. These are kumitachi or paired techniques where person who "receives" the technique (uke) is normally the senior student (or teacher). The names are given here for reference, particularly for students studying the techniques. They mean very little without instruction and demonstration.

Please note that the kanji may not be visible if you do not have Japanese fonts installed for your browser.
